Fishnets are like reinforced toes on pantyhose: they similtaneously appear to cover and yet to reveal, to varying degrees. RT's are opaque, fishnets are fairly revealing, and yet both cover and reveal at once. This is a paradox, and the human mind enjoys paradoxes, especially when they are erotic. Of course, only a supreme artist can deliver such a paradox in its full effect, such as we have here. That kind of artist is also a paradox---a superlative vision combined with painstaking attention to the detail of the work. Our photographer here is one such supreme artist; perhaps with many imitators, but no competitors.
I love fishnet. I know, somewhere at sometime, maybe with Papa Hemingway's Old Man and the Sea, fishnet served a different purpose. But for me, tonight, in the moment...in the lubricated moment I am in...fishnet looks inviting and seductive. Is it the feeling of having caught the woman, the mermaid in your net? Or is it just the sting sectioning out the sumptuous desirability of her legs? I'm over-thinking this, aren't I? But I'm really curious as to why a woman in fishnet stockings raises a Redwood in my drawers that a bare leg could ever achieve. Any thoughts?
